The apartment is in a building to the southwest of Dubai, near the Palm Jumeirah. Nearby is the Mall of the Emirates and the smaller Al Barsha Mall, both with lots of shopping and dining opportunities. There is also an indoor ski slope here with real snow. Also nearby is the pretty Al Barsha park, which has a night market.
